Anett didn’t discover chimney cakes. She grew up on them. Todd saw what the tradition could become. Together they decided to prove it.

The dough wrapped by hand around a dowel. The cakes slowly turning in the oven into a golden crust. For many, it’s something they’ve never seen before and something they don’t forget.
Budapest Bakeshop was founded in 2019 by Anett and Todd Kane. What started in historic Niagara-on-the-Lake has grown into something neither of them planned. They just kept building.

Todd and Anett’s daughters have never known a life without this bakery.
From the very first shop to the expansion into Port Dalhousie, they’ve been part of every chapter. The long days, the grand openings, the quiet in-between moments. All of it.
